Welcome to Darren Brooks’ site about marketing and the internet. I am a part time affiliate marketer that focuses on the UK market and mainly works using SEO (search engine optimisation) to promote my sites. The main aim being to create useful sites that then provide an additional source of revenue on top of my day job.
I have created this site to portfolio a selection of my websites and with the overall aim to blog about my online affiliate marketing activities. The main reason for not doing this sooner is due to time. However I now want to pass on my experiences and advice to others that wish to listen (that’s if anyone does!).
I have been involved in affiliate marketing for a number of years now and like many others who start success was slow, but over the past few of years and into 2010 I have maintained a stable income enough to do this full time if I so wish. The reason for not doing so at the moment is that I have a career which provides a more stable long term income, one of the main drawbacks of affiliate marketing is that income is not guaranteed. Whether I take the plunge however remains to be seen who knows what the future holds.
